The MUTUR is divided into different areas which all together will offer visitors a transversal vision of the tourist phenomenon. In the main entrance area, visitors are welcomed and can find information about the main theme of the month and the general museum. Next we come to the Hall of Tourism where we can appreciate the preparation of the journey, from the transports used to the actual holiday experience and finally the end of the holiday and the memories that this entails. In the multipurpose hall we can see temporary exhibitions and a documentation and research Centre. Finally, in the Calella Hall we concentrate on the history of Calella and the great revolution which began with the arrival of the first tourists to the city with all of the social and economic implications which this represented and the change of direction this meant in converting Calella into a tourist destination of reference.
